Adding sections
Sections come from a library. You pick them in the editor. New kinds of section arrive through your theme, the starter pack or Claude, never by hand-editing files.
Use the library
- In the editor, open the Sections tab and click + Add Section.
- Browse by category. Each entry has a name and short description.
- Click one to add it to the page.
Add the same section as often as you like. For example, two Call to Action sections on one page keep separate content.
Starter sections
The starter pack contains these sections. They are copied into the theme when you install the starter theme.
| Category | Sections |
|---|---|
| Hero | Hero |
| Content | FAQ, Features, Text + Image, Stats, Steps, Video, Rich Text |
| Conversion | Call to Action |
| Social proof | Testimonials, Logo Bar, Trust Badges |
| Marketing | Promo Banners, Sale Countdown |
| Products | Product Grid |
| Navigation | Categories |
| WooCommerce | Featured Product, Product Tabs, Recently Viewed, Product Details, Cart, Checkout, My Account, Order Confirmation |
| Global (one copy only) | Main Header, Site Footer, Site Footer (Minimal), Announcement Bar, WhatsApp Button, Theme Settings, Product Settings |
Your site may show more or fewer, depending on the theme.
Categories
The picker groups sections as hero, content, marketing, conversion, social proof, navigation, products and WooCommerce. A section with no category appears under "other".
Getting new sections
Warning. Do not edit section files by hand and do not edit the plugin. A typo can break a live page. Use one of the safe routes below.
- Your theme. A theme made for SLB (like the starter) ships its own sections. Switching to or updating that theme gives you them.
- The starter pack. Use Install starter theme on (see Installing SLB).
- Claude via the MCP. Ask Claude to write a section into your draft theme. It is checked automatically, previewed, and goes live only when you publish. See The recommended AI workflow.
If a section is missing from the picker
- Is the right theme active? Sections live in the active theme.
- Is it a WooCommerce section and WooCommerce is inactive?
- Is it a global section that is already on the site? Global sections allow one copy.
