SLB User Guide

What SLB is

SLB is a WordPress plugin that builds pages out of sections. A page is a stack of rows. Each row is one section, such as a hero banner, a feature grid or a call to action.

How it works in one minute

  1. You open a page in the SLB editor, a full-screen screen with a settings panel on the left and a live preview on the right.
  2. You add sections from a library and fill in their fields (headline, image, button link, colours).
  3. You reorder, hide or delete sections as needed.
  4. You click Publish Changes and the page goes live.

Sections on the left become rows on the page on the right.

Four ideas to remember

Mobile and tablet layouts are built into the sections themselves. You do not set per-device values. Use the device buttons in the editor to check how the page looks.

What SLB stores

Your content is stored in WordPress itself, with no shortcodes in the page text. The section templates are plain files on the server that SLB never rewrites while you edit. Optionally, SLB can keep a plain-HTML copy of each published page so it still shows if SLB is ever deactivated (see Tour of the admin screens).

Tip. SLB works on any theme. On pages that have SLB sections, it replaces the page content with the rendered sections and keeps your theme's header and footer. For a clean full-width page, choose the SLB Canvas page template (see Editing pages).
